But, it seems there's a bit of confusion here; the mascot is actually called the "Eddies," not "Eddy Eagles." The Eddies are a one-of-a-kind mascot that doesn't really fit into an animal category, but they're definitely cute and charming in their own way. Here's the fun part: this mascot came about because the school's former principal, Bertrand Long, wanted a name that was more local and meaningful.
